Dangerous Access: Protecting Children from Pornography

Presented by

Forest Benedict, MA, LMFT, SATP-C

About the Event: In this day and age, it is not a matter of "if" children will see pornography but "when." Parents and professionals need to understand the potential online risks our children are facing, equipping themselves to protect young people both externally and internally. On January 8, local sex addiction therapist and author Forest Benedict, LMFT, SATP will present on this timely topic, sharing about potential online dangers and what can be done to protect children. This is a relevant topic for all of us and there is much we can do to prepare ourselves and the parents we work with. Join us.

About the Presenter: Forest Benedict is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified Sexual Addiction Treatment Provider (SATP). He is the Clinical Director of LifeSTAR of the Central Valley, an outpatient sexual addiction treatment program. He is also the Program Manager of the Sexual Addiction Treatment Provider program at Mid-America Nazarene University. Forest writes and speaks publicly about protecting children from pornography. He is the author of the highly-acclaimed new book Life After Lust: Stories & Strategies for Sex & Pornography Addiction Recovery.
